Supercharged beretta v6 dynoed
I just dynoed and got 210whp/238wtrq at the wheels.
My 2" crushed-bent exhaust and Midas catylitc
converter is killing the top end as the engine is
maxing out the 36 lbs. injectors.  85% duty cycle on
the injectors according to the math should be right at
300hp flywheel.  The engine is cosuming the fuel but
cannot put the power down due to the corked exhaust.

Timing was at 28 degrees and the air-fuel ratio was
holding 12.5:1.

100cpi metal cat along with a true 2.5" should be
interesting to see what it rewards as power starts to level off around 4K RPMs.
Here is a comparison of Stencil(NOS) and Rex(Turbo) from BerettaFest '03(only people that I have data from on a Dynojet) and myself this past week.

something is wrong with math Norm?!? 36lb injectors should theorectically net you almost 400+ hp before been maxed, this is using 43psi static pressure...

Something is definitely not right there, hopefully its just the exhaust and thats all. You should get one of the electronic cutouts. I have heard quite a bit of good stuff about them. 210 at the wheels is still a quick car though.

36 x .85 / .6 = 306hp
I maxed out my 24lbers to close to 100% and drained the pressure from the pump when the injectors stayed open. I was blowing the procelin off the last sparkplug due to the injector being the last in the line. :-0

Looks good Norm. That nice V-6 TQ curve!
Open her up and see what you can do! That engine just needs some breathing room and then probably some more RPM.

24/.6 = 40
40 x 6 = 240 => which is wrong!
It telling us that the injectors can operate at 100% duty cycle and this is not so.

Pressures for my car are stock. But I was thinking tonight that my pump, which is designed for the stock 15 or 16 lbers just cannot keep up with the 36 lbs. injectors.
If a injector is directed to stay open longer it drains more fuel pressure, especially if the pump is near its compacity. As RPMs rise the duty cycle also rises. The injector event can only stay open for a specific cylinder event. So it may stay open slightly longer or open earlier when more fuel is needed. Hence putting the fuel pump in starvation.
With a return line the pump is always pumping more than is needed. It is the returnless style that go into fuel starvation sooner.
Just some thoughts as I wait for my new pump recommended by Scott McGavin.

I think a lot of factors will refute or validate the issue...I for one stop believeing injector calculators when my relative here ran 11.7x s, I forget what MPH with a 3800lb car. A GN stock injectors... 28.5lb!! According to my math that is more than 400WHP at 43.5psi base pressure. I don't remember how many PSI of boost but I am certain dynamic fuel pressure did not exceed 73psi since we are using a 1:1 FPR...
my point? 36lb injectors should take you way beyond 300hp...and the Grandprix boyz will attest to that too...I agree the fuel pump need to be addressed, but 36lb injectors is enough injector on a sub 3000lb car...to create a pavement pounder...

Steph, I see what your asking and reposted with the correct gear ratio. Sometimes it asks what gear ratio you want to compare even though the actual dyno was only done in one gear. I really don't understand it but reconfigured and came with the same result. Good eye though.
I would like to appologized to Stencil for posting time vs. hp as he was in 3rd gear and Rex and I were in 4th which shows his time under curve lower than ours. Rex and my '88 GT have simialr gear ratio but it is not exact on the dyno. I don't know if Rex is running the same gear ratio but it is very close to mine running stock crosslaced wheels and 205/60-15 tires with half tread remaining.
nocutt, with the F.A.S.T. programmable ECU I don't know if my pulse width is the same as stock. Is your relative running stock computer with a chip? Trying to compare apples to apples. I see if my O2 correction changes upon the installation of the new fuel pump.
