You could definitely use to shim the accumulators in your transmission to firm up those shifts a bit...

Im running just as much if not more line pressure than shimming that would give me. It works on vaccum. You feed it pressure and it firms shifts even more. It shifts to second at approxamently 43 mph and on the street I have had it break the tires loose like I said in the other post. I dont get much torque steer off the line cause I dont try and load it on the line but I get a pretty decent amount on the one-two shift, even at the track.

I'd like to know more about your brothers supercharger set up. Could I get some info and pics on that?
Thanks.
Oh and I agree, nice work on your turbo.

I think the guys in the GTZ can drive. I'm not sure what is done to the car, but they run very consistant RT's and ET's.

Im not sure who's supercharger setup your talking about.
Rex, thats Brads car. It was at Bfest 03 with us and even on the track. It has gears, w41 tune and cams, full exhaust minus header (i think), ported 083 head (again I think), and nitrous (he didnt use it). Racing seats too.

I just put it away for winter. Put 1000 miles on it in two weeks and 1200 total this year. I had the alternator go out 3 weeks ago but I have a spare good one that should work just fine. Kinda sad to have to replace the original. It didnt even outlast the factory wipers. I also had the compressor start leaking through the case during the winter. Looks like its due to corrosion so Im going to coat the new one in clear. Picked up a new GM one off ebay thats been sitting on a shelf for about 5 years. Hope it works when I put it in in the spring. I also bought some tires for the track. Trying to put a trip together for early spring to Cedar Falls Raceway.

Those compressors leaking around the seams is common occurrence. I got a NOS compressor too off of ebay like $55 including shipping! Well it's working this last summer but I notice it's dripping some oil around the seam too. The one that was on there when I bought it was a reman. At least this NOS one if it does loose pressure I can have the seals rebuilt in it for $40 from this one guy so I'm still ahead.

Have you considered putting in larger injectors (than you have now) and then re-tuning your pressures? Since it appears you can change your idle pressure as well, you could then get away with using less PSI when at full boost, and turn up the boost a little.
And yeah, even stock when the motor gets close to 220 or so the idle gets worse.

I have actually put quite a bit of thought into changing out the injectors and running E85 (which, if I didnt have the injectors already from my cop car, I would have done right away) but I'm not sure if I want to put that money into it yet.
I will probably get around to changing out the ac compressor and alternator once it warms up a bit and I may do a yet undecided upon mod. I also probably will be putting SS mandrel exhaust from the muffler back this summer just cause Im sick of that kink.
I dont think it will be seeing 5 psi unless I really need it to hit 14s. I really would like to see my trany last and the torque steer I get shifting into second isnt probably good for it.
If my trany does someday go and it still runs well and looks good I will build it and bring the boost up.
Im hoping to be at CFR on the 6th.

why thank you sir
Brad and I drove the car to a shared win (split the money and split custody of the trophy )
Oh and just FYI I cut my best reaction time in that car (I think it might be in one of the clips) of .005
Dustin how about you head over this way for the first compact run on April 27th or if you want you could shoot over for opening weekend (12-13th) and run in a regular bracket race (compact class though)(better traction on the bracket race days also). your welcome to stay at our place.

well, the 27th may be an option. The 12th-13th is way too early. They just put salt down here about 3 days ago and I wont see my car till atleast that weekend and I have to get that alternator in and hopefully the compressor before driving it for a long distance.

OBDII swap. Some guy with a corsica swapped in a 3500 and just re-pinned the ECM connector to go to OBII recently. But then you need a DHP/etc. But tuning would be mad nice.
Have you got an adjustable trans modulator? Throw one on man it makes a difference. You could shim the accumulators with the trans in the car too if you were so inclined.

read the other topics about the modulator, its been brought up a few times.
I have the OBD II harness thanks to devon and even though everything is running perfectly good I may do the swap at some point. I'm really hoping that Jon gets something figured out with the hp tuner software.
