Adding a Maplight mirror Adding The Newer Style Mirror To Your Beretta

Upgrading the mirror is not really that hard and it will enhance the
interior appearance of your pre-91 Beretta. The procedure is very
simple.

Parts Needed

Mirror from a 91+ Beretta or Corsica(any model will suffice)

Tools needed

Torx Screwdriver - Size T-15
Phillips Screwdiver
Wire Stippers
Electrical Tape

Procedure

First, remove the old mirror by loosening the torx screw and sliding it
off the windshield. Then remove the overhead console by using the
phillips screwdriver to remove the 2 screws and the console needs to
slide forward to remove it. It will hang by the wires that power the
lights in the console. Then mount the new mirror and tighten the screw
to secure the mirror firmly. Be careful because the head of the torx
screw will strip if you use too much pressure. Then strip the
insulation of one of the console wires back to expose the wire. Trim
the end of one of the wires on the mirror and splice it into the wire
of the console. Tape the connection up with some electrical tape. In
the metal part of the roof, there should be a screw that can be
loosened. Strip the end of the other wire from the mirror and wrap it
around the loosened screw. Then tighten the screw back down snugly.
Then re-install the overhead console. Check the lights to insure that
they are working properly.

That's it. Have fun.
