I have not had time to check anything else at the moment.

My 88 Beretta had a temp sensor on the lower intake manifold by the mechanical thermostat, it was 2 wires.

There was also a single wire temp sensor in the heads on the corner of cylinder #6.
If you do not have this single wire sensor, there should be a plug in its place.

Wouldn't an air leak stay instead of going away when warming up?

I replaced the IAC and cleaned out the throttle body.
Checked throttle, cable is fine, does not open as you explained it could have.
Its temp gauge did not do much, it only went from about 2mm below cold to about 0.5 mm below cold in this span of time.
still revs up.

Yah, but I mean for an original Beretta INDY, I think it would have been better if they used this engine instead of the standard 3.1 MPFI.
I think it would have made them worth more and more rare.
