Re: Should I have 2 coolant temp sensors on an 88 2.8 mpfi
My 88 Beretta had a temp sensor on the lower intake manifold by the mechanical thermostat, it was 2 wires.
There was also a single wire temp sensor in the heads on the corner of cylinder #6.
If you do not have this single wire sensor, there should be a plug in its place.

Re: Sometimes high idle, goes away after restart
Wouldn't an air leak stay instead of going away when warming up?

Re: Sometimes high idle, goes away after restart
I replaced the IAC and cleaned out the throttle body.
Checked throttle, cable is fine, does not open as you explained it could have.
Its temp gauge did not do much, it only went from about 2mm below cold to about 0.5 mm below cold in this span of time.
still revs up.

Re: 88 TO 96 interior door panels
I am thinking you might need the handle/lock interior parts and the metal rods that slide all the way back to the other parts like the latch and lock. The newer lock solenoid matches the newer linkage/rods or whatever you call them. I dont know what exactly changed on the window motor, i never had t...

Re: 88 TO 96 interior door panels
Yah, i was thinking you could not find a descent setof older designed interior parts. Im not sure, but i think there is more then just the handle assembly that changed. Maybe you want the whole newer door design swapped? Newer design window motors and lock solenoids seems like a better idea if you w...

Re: I have to ask, Whats under the hood on this thing??
Yah, but I mean for an original Beretta INDY, I think it would have been better if they used this engine instead of the standard 3.1 MPFI.3X00-Modified wrote:It's a nice piece of history but you can make so much more power these days. The headers are nice tho.
I think it would have made them worth more and more rare.

Its been a while since I read this.
I wish they made our 90 beretta's with this engine. It would have been a lot more fun.

Re: Oil pressure gauge not working
I like the blue lighting on your gauge cluster.
I'd change the cluster to blue on the mint one but I'm keeping the car original.

Re: 88 TO 96 interior door panels
did you ever see my parts thread in the for sale section? I have the 88 door panels and doors, and other interior parts. Basically everything but a dash and steering column, I have the red steering wheel too, no damage to it. Except its all red, and the seat belts are not on the doors, they are the ...

I didn't realize that. Good thing I asked before just buying something. I thought it was an actual LSD that was for sale.

I have been looking at this:
http://www.tractionconcepts.com/Chevrol ... ch8304.htm
Do you think the price is justified or is that to much to pay?
