Re: Common oil leaks?

I had oil leaking out my OP unit, installed a new one, and use the faucet thread (the white tape stuff) on the threads.

Re: Cluster replacement

What speed were you going when you set your needle? It is supposed to cover the 2nd odometer digit while stopped. You will always have speedometer errors with the 91-96 clusters, because the printing isn't perfect.

Re: High Mileage Club

I also wonder how accurate some odometers are! Something that was about 29.2 miles actual (google maps, as i have no record from the 1989) was 30.3 miles in a 1993, vs 29.6 miles in a 1992. Granted, it's not a big difference, but it will make you believe you have higher MPG than actual. I will howev...

Re: Bad News

Some ordinances don't allow a non-running and/or a non-registered car parked outside for more than a certain period of time. In my town I think it is 3 days. I had an unregistered car outside for 4 months and never heard a peep. My dad on the other hand, heard from the municipality one time because ...

Re: swapping to gtz seats....ride height?

There is a difference in my base 89 Corsica and the 89 Beretta GT, not much but i can tell the GT seats are higher. The 91 Corsica seems similar to the 89, and the 92 Corsy seats are really low, at lease mine were.

Re: broken brittle hose on a canister below the battery?

If you have a vacuum leak to the TB it will run rich, although that is speaking in obd1 terms. I had issues for over a year before I finally plugged the vapor and egr ports (89 2.0). I suspect I had a broken valve in the vapor canister.

Re: are all year seats interchangeable?

I also notice that the rear seatbelts switch too. From 91 on I believe the fronts are the red button right on the top. And I notice the rear seat belts in the 91 Corsica are of the same type, but the 92 and 93 I had were the ones with the button with the GM logo on it.

Re: Longest 30sec of your life...

It's a Learjet. That's a small business jet with seating for, I believe, around 8, plus the pilots. Nothing wrong with how old you are, it is how competant and healthy you are. And if you read, 65 is the legal limit for commercial pilots. Private company jets won't have that limit.

Re: AC compressor seized.

Remember that the A/C will not operate below about 40 degrees F, so in winter it won't matter if it works or not, for defrost.
