Re: The Derretta, 1994 base with some attitude.

I've been looking into the ceramic paint coating stuff. It's intriguing. Boner did it on his vette so it can't be too tough! Haha

Re: Z71 project 2.0 - 92 from Cali

Still waiting on the title to come back on the Cali truck while some guy from Syracuse wants to buy it. So while I'll be in Kentucky and Carolina it's going on the front lawn. Maybe I'll get a better offer in the mean time? The thing looks amazing. Makes me want to double the asking price just so it...

Re: Z71 project 2.0 - 92 from Cali

Yeah. I need to sell the 92 and 94 to recoup some cash. And room!

I actually already have a decent offer on the cali truck...before even listing it.

Silverado build 3.0...or should I say 8.1

So the wife went out to Colorado with her brother to bring her grandfather a bunch of stuff from the house he sold in NY. And I'll be damned if she didn't find me another sweet truck! haha 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with the 8.1L gas engine and ZF6 manual trans. As much as I was looking forward to ...

Re: Z71 project 2.0 - 92 from Cali

I know. I haven't bought anything for myself in 10 years... and now it's 3 trucks in 3 months. But the wifey found a deal I couldn't pass up... Sometimes you have to think with your head and not your heart. I'm still a little bummed I won't be building this truck. It would have been awesome! GMT400s...

Re: Z71 project 2.0 - 92 from Cali

Let's bring this up to date...shall we? Tested one of the early baby shower gifts in the truck. Piece of cake! Then I actually had to bring it inside to get my driveway widened from 2 to 3 cars and could start the real disassembly. https://i.imgur.com/OUm0qrq.jpg https://i.imgur.com/3pSVLA9.jpg http...

Re: Can I use A heated O2 sensor?

RockAuto... It will show you want's available for your model year. And I've never had any issues with Bosch sensors... And something to remember, most wideband O2's are Bosch brand. ;) I've only had issues with them on OBD1, but there was a consensus among tuners that Denso worked better and it was...

Re: what did you do to your ride today?

Yeah, I run those exact gaskets. They rock. I actually found two loose intake bolts on one corner and still didn't have a coolant leak. Your idea sounds...interesting. Haha. I'm all for #fabricobbled stuff, but I don't know. Yeah, a spacer would lift it up a bit to match the raised runner heads bett...

Re: what did you do to your ride today?

Lunati cam and lifters, LS6 beehive valve-springs, and Comp Cams non-LS retainers -I will be using a set of Vortec heads I've had lying around for a while, and they normally cannot support the size cam I am putti...

Wow, that's super cheap. I just bought one to see if it will work. Looks kinda flimsy, but we'll see.

Re: Any easy, cheaper ways to increase MPG?

That makes a huge difference. I only get 16-18 most tanks to work and around town. But straight highway it's 26-30mpg.
