Dead no start condition
I listed on here before about it. When I changed the transmission on this car a few years back two things happened. One, I broke the speedometer sensor on the tranny & two, the transmission had a different type of speed sensor. A few months ago I replaced the sensor, hoping that that was all tha...

LZ9 prep and future install.
Hello everyone. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am currently building a LZ9 3.9L V6 VVT from a '06 Pontiac G6 GTP. The plan will be to install this in a Beretta in the future. A thread has already been created in the 60degreeV6 forum. I'm planning to keep the VVT function also. Also to mat...

Dead no start condition
Around 200k+. I don't know exactly since I'm still dealing with the inop speedometer. Also, I just rebuilt this motor. So this motor has about 4k on it. But the injectors and acessories are original. Once I get more stable in my economic situation I'll start looking into new & improved injectors.

Dead no start condition
Okay boys & girls, I figured out what it was. I was waiting for better weather so I can dedicate some time to it. I was ready to do some crouching and contorting to get to that cranksensor. I was looking at wiring diagrams and checking procedure in the repair manual. For some reason I decided...

Dead no start condition
I'm seeing if anyones seen this condition. I have a '91 GT 5spd with a 3.1L. The first time it did this(no start) was the beginning of this week. I was on a road trip and decided to drive the Tail of the Dragon (keep in mind I had driven down to Miami from Ohio and was on my way back ). It all went ...

Motor Mounts
I tried doing that two part epoxy on my '91 GT. It was a pain & messy. On top of that, if you follow the directions on the epoxy package, you end up with with something too thick to pour out. And you're going against the clock. This was all done with spare hardware. So I didn't have to worry abo...

Weird tranny problems
Can you tell if any power is being tranmitted into the transaxle? Can you audibly hear the gear being engaged?

Speedometer issues
Okay, I'm checking the wiring diagram out now. I see how it's routed, first through the ECM. If I do need a Cavalier Prom, might as well upgrade for the cam I put in.

Speedometer issues
Hey Cliff, thanks for the reply. I'm assuming by PROM you mean the chip for the engine control mudule? So do I basically try to find a PROM for a '91 Cavalier w/ 3.1L and manual? Or does the transmission option not matter?

Speedometer issues
Just wanted to see if anyone's experienced with this issue. I have a '91 GT w/ 5spd manual(muncie). For a long while the speedometer has been inop due to the original VSS being broken(gear driven) and another type of sensor (induction type) put in to plug the hole and that way I can take the origina...

Right cupholder & a/c vent assembly...black
Man, it sucks having a rare interior color. I wonder how cheesy it would look to paint the trim?

Chrome Lug Nuts
I am currently fitting my '91 GT with Z26 wheels. The question I have is... if any knows if there is a quality chrome lug nut that will hold both the wheel on and secure the center cover. So you have to remove the lug nut to remove the center cap. Am I out of luck on this part if I want a better loo...

Help fuel problems?
Exactly what is the fuel gauge doing? Lemme see if I'm understanding this correctly... with the ignition switched on, the fuel gauge momentarily reads full, then drops to the correct fuel level. This occurs all within a few seconds?
