1/4 mile times

First off, this is moved to the proper section. Second, this road you are driving on (aka street racing on), is definately longer than a 1/4 mile (1320 feet). There is no way your 3.1 5spd will get over 100 mph in 1320 feet. Take it to a real track, I'm sure there is one not too far from you, and th...

Rim & tire size

18's will be fine, 225/40/18 is the tire size you want. You'll have to make sure the offset will keep the tire away from the spring perch, but not too far out so it won't hit the fender. 19's will fit too, but not really worth it unless it's a show car. 225/35/19 is the tire size you want for 19's. ...

heres the gameplan for my exhaust

If you are going to do it right, I would do mandrel bent all the way back. A Catco hi-flow universal cat will be perfect (why a 5.0 cat?). I've heard that the Flowmaster mufflers don't sound all that great on our cars, I don't think they flow that well either.

All metal 3100 Lower Intake Manifold Gaskets!

This is good to know. I assume there are still rubber seals on the gasket, it's just now all metal instead of some metal, and some plastic.

Good deal.

what muffler would bet the best

Get the resonator removed, get a high flow cat, 2.25" or 2.5" piping, and a Borla Turbo muffler... sounds perfect.

Gen 2-3 v6 Exhaust ports are they the same?

The ports on Gen II heads are round, and the ports on the Gen III heads are D shaped. There are tons of pictures over on www.60degreev6.com

Shouldnt there be

Most of the information from the mailing list is posted to the boards, at least the important stuff is anyways. Besides, being on the MB keeps you from getting the spam emails in the group list (that doesn't happen much). Or the useless posts that go through.

TRUE HIDS! DIRECT FIT!

http://www.hidplanet.com Anyone thinking about putting HID bulbs in their OEM housings needs to look at this site. HID bulbs are designed to be used with SPECIFIC projectors, not just a regular headlamp (such as a Beretta's, Camaro's, Chevette, etc). The light pattern in a regular lamp housing throw...

If Angelina Jolie's face looked as smashed up as that.... I'd still hit it.

Looks like a decent project car....

Foglight Modifications

You can remove the deflector without removing the glass lense on the foglight. Just grind the two rivets holding the deflector in, and you can fish the deflector out of the hole where the foglight bulb goes into.

Steering wheel

After driving home in the Z the other day, I am very tempted to get a steering wheel similar to that... I'm assuming the overall diameter is smaller? When compared to my tC, the steering wheel in my Z seems like it's the size of a bus steering wheel....  waaay too big. Looks nice though, I did that ...
