Re: Motor pooped!
Got the diagnoses late this afternoon-the engine threw a bearing. Mechanic said given the make and model it wouldn't be worth trying to tear into the engine for a rebuild and that it was basically a wash. He's a good mechanic and I trust him. I didn't argue what he said especially knowing what was w...

Re: Motor pooped!
Oops sorry. It's a 95 base with the V6 and 61,000 miles. Got to check the oil and coolant levels-both good but the oil looks dirty with only 3000 miles on it? Starts right up but man I am afraid to drive it anywhere with that loud knocking noise, seems to come from the top end from just underneath t...

Motor pooped!
Driving tonight the motor developed a serious clacking noise and loss of power. I was able to get home and since it's dark I couldn't see any visible leaks. The motor wouldn't smoke any. It started just fine when I left, but I swore as I drove more I could hear a faint tapping-just my imagination I ...

Re: Wiper motor removal.
Thank you all for your help, I am determined to do this. Heck if I can get it straightened out I might just get it repainted, lowered, back seat recovered and a new headliner (long term goals) lol. It just turned 60,000 miles so yeah, it's got some life left in it. I would love to keep it for a long...

Wiper motor removal.
After searching the forum I found out the best way to seal the left side leak is to remove the wiper motor and seal that whole area. Problem is I am having a heck of a time doing it. I can get the top 2 but just looking at the motor I cannot figure out any way to get to the bottom one? Maybe put the...

Re: Trivia question!
UPDATE! Went to a junk yard that advertised having a Beretta and found another brake handle assembly. Just took the old one off and confirmed what Dubs said earlier-it is a simple plastic replacement part that snaps into the spring and holds the button to the brake lever. The brake handle is on more...

Re: What kind of muffler do you have?
I went to the muffler shop and said "it has a hole in it and I need a new one". Well, they put one in alright. I should have checked it out before I left. It sure is quiet, but dang is it small! Like a 14" muffler on there! Doesn't even fill out the space left from the last one. I gue...

I know, I know, but I thought I would ask as many on here have had quite a few in their collection in the past.

Re: What is your breaking point? (Owning the Beretta)
I knew it would have issues but man it's almost too much. The car is nothing special, a DD 95 base. I am going to try sealing the firewall next where the cowl exits and see if that does anything. I wanted to have fun with the car, heck I even have a set of lowering springs in the trunk! But yeah, al...

What is your breaking point? (Owning the Beretta)
So I knew my 95 Beretta had some issues when I bought it. But it had only 51,000 miles and was a single owner car. I had the driver seat and head rest recovered and started buying parts. Then it started. The hood latch cable snapped, the air went out and it needed paint bad from sitting out in the s...

Re: Trivia question!
The parts are not interchangable, I have gone over it but going to do it again tomorrow just to be sure. Might just have to get a generic aftermarket handle, not sure.

Trivia question!
First, shout out to DUBS GW for the fast delivery on the parts! Thank you man! Next is a silly question. I bought the parking brake handle because mine was broken at the button and wouldn't work. Easy enough, I thought. Just get another and replace it right? Well he sent one that had a metal rod ins...
