Re: GROUP BUY: Addco rear sway bar
So I was curious if anyone could answer my question of what change this will make to my base suspension. Should I use it in the rear or buy two and install both?

Re: Trustworthy Mechanic
Hello everyone. I am new to this forum but extremely excited I found it and joined. I have an 1989 Beretta GT with a little over 66,000 original miles on it and my TCC Solenoids are shot. The car still runs but only when I keep my foot on the gas while I am stopped. I was wondering if anyone knew o...

When you say you checked the MAP, what exactly did you do to test it?

I'd double check the wiring again to make sure you got the connections right. Also check the spark control module to make sure its functioning correctly.

Re: Possible Group Buy: Addco rear sway bars
I would be interested but I have the base suspension. Would I have to get two or just one and find a bar off a GT/Z26?

Re: GTZ _STILL_ running rough
I feel like a cracked block would not only flip the check engine light but the engine would run so poorly you wouldn't be able to even have it idle. Since the fuel system tested good, I think your down to checking the grounds and especially double checking the timing.

Re: GTZ _STILL_ running rough
Well let's narrow it down a bit. When you say a miss and lack of power where does it occur? Is it in a range or wide spread? Does it happen more warm or cold? It occurs all the time - Warm/Cold/LowRPM - It is basically there all the time. Hmmmm, well fuel pump is the one we all mentioned. You menti...

Re: Upgrading suspension on '89 Park Avenue... Opinions?
Depends on what kind of ride you want. I love those old H bodies, that air ride is about as cushy as you could get. Otherwise with a variable spring it'll be still soft just not as even as the air ride will be.

Re: Gas smell
Its not the regulator if you didn't see fuel. I would reinstall the old MAF and conduct a fuel pressure test. I would also recheck the installation of the fuel pump since you said you replaced. I would guess its either a leak somewhere or a very badly leaking injector which would drown the motor out...

Re: Interesting rare glitch on my transmission
Nothing really to be worried about. Thinking about it your moving at a very slow speed, 2nd gear maybe, so romping it down like that the trans will downshift but will only hold first momentarily before coming back to second. Never heard of shift coils lol.

Re: '91 Beretta Woes
Haha, where to begin? Yes spraying cleaner down the intake while running is very bad but not a death blow. Next time remove the throttle body and clean it. You shouldn't have a MAF on your year 3.1L V6. Could you get a pic of this supposed MAF? With all the issues present, it'll be hard to narrow do...

Re: GTZ _STILL_ running rough
Definitely check the fuel pressure and not just at idle or looking for pressure only, unplug the vacuum from the regulator and make it go to max fuel pressure. That way you can see if the fuel pump is able to deliver the fuel needed.

Re: Broken spark plug
All the more reason not to use it. Small torque values can get distorted with antiseize not to mention modern plugs come coated now to prevent issues.
