Re: Car is fine in park, wants to die once in gear...
I dunno about your problem JAWS89GTU, I'm guessing you've checked the IAC? Did you try a idle relearn? And for the highway thing, you completely sure that it has all three gears? I know mine was missing 2nd gear when I got it (put a new tranny recently so now I have all 3) Anyone know how to reattac...

Vinyl Black Paint?
Okay, since the retard who had my car before me spray painted the dash primer white, I might just remove the poly carpet cover and make the beretta have black interior. Would this work okay to make her interior black?: http://www.ebay.com/itm/SEM-COLOR-COAT-LANDAU-BLACK-Vinyl-Spray-Auto-Paint-/20067...

Re: 2.8 Redline?
I have a digital dash, so there is no literal redline. If there is I missed it completely.

Re: Car is fine in park, wants to die once in gear...
I have never had coolant boil in my tank. Something is wrong there. How accurate is the low coolant light? It stopped doing it but the one time I started it up yesterday to move it so I could clean it up a bit when I put it in drive the low coolant light started flickering and came on solid, goes o...

2.8 Redline?
Hey, I was wondering, whats the redline on a 89' Beretta?
When I "beat" (I don't really beat the car, just a occasional breaking tires loose fun) the GTU I don't ever really bring it over say 35-3800rpms, is that close to redline or what would be the redline on these cars?

Okay, this is a bit of a bump. But how do you unplug the TCC? It seems to have mostly stopped doing it, I was told that it was doing it because the computer needed to learn how to shift and get used to my driving style...but IDK if thats completely true being from 1989. I just wanna know how to &quo...

90' Keyfob with a 89?
I'm guessing not, but would a Keyless entry remote for a 90' work with a 89?
This is the keyfob I'm talking about:-

Re: White 89 GTU - Salt lake City, UT
Not even a more reliable and probably more powerful/efficient Honda from the 90's is worth that much. Bitch be outside her mind. For the mileage, year and condition, I'd say $2K TOPS. Actually, where I live that isn't that bad a deal, the only two GTU's I found in my area were $27xx and $29xx and t...

Re: Parting out an 88 Beretta GT 2.8
What color is the interior, I need a headliner, the trim that goes around the sail (rear side) panels, drivers side vent, a decent dash wouldn't hurt but idk if your taking that out lol. Filler panels and headlights if they aren't fogged. Where are the parts located? EDIT: Woops, guess all this stuf...

Re: Car is fine in park, wants to die once in gear...
I can try that then, didn't get the chance to try cleaning the IAC today, all I did was give it seafoam treatment so hopefully that helps. It's a used tranny, IIRC its from a slightly newer beretta. Also forgot to add that it only seems to do it once the car is completely warmed up. When its cold it...

Car is fine in park, wants to die once in gear...
Okay, my GTU will idle fine in park, but once its put into gear it idles terrible and stalls, it will do this at red lights now too, practically all stops. I reset the idle two times but didn't really help. My transmission was replaced today, but it did the same thing with the old one (replacement w...

Re: 2.8 with Grand Prix Turbo?
Okay, so I should probably lower the boost (if possible on a oem turbo) so the tranny and engine don't blow? There's a 3.1 and Auto tranny with it for $150 bucks near me for sale. Would I be better off just buying that and eventually turbo'ing it? I just wanna turbo my 2.8 because its much less work...
