cracked bumper

I don't think just the epoxy will hold the bumper since it's so flexible. Adding some of that fiberglass mat on the backside will stiffen it up and hold. Fiberglass should hold it from the inside, you can get a fairly cheap fiberglass kit from Auto parts stores. ÃÆâ...

Indy Convertible Tour Video

(nicky gio88gt @ Jul. 16 2006,13:25)Q U O T EBut thats not a real indy pacecar though right? The real pacecars had the hairy 3.4L and it had the yellow lights in the bottom part of the filler panel in the back. So what exactly is it? Was it custom made? Cause I do know that couple indy replicas were...

Not bad. Love the GTU. I saw your car posted either here or bstuff before.

So it looks like your from the Pittsburgh area. Will you be joining the pittsburgh crew for our little met in February? We normally go to a car show and just hang out for the day.

wimpy performance?!

1988GTU, Is it required? I thought there was a manifold temp sensor in those MAF'ed cars already? I was reading an article on this speed density upgrade and it basically said the ECM will just ignore the MAF from then on. I can't see the shops installing an upgraded chip and then not putting a requi...

That check engine light is normal. I believe all of the lights should flash when you turn the ignition on, as a way to be sure they aren't burnt out.

I believe there is a manifold temperature sensor on your car also. I'm not sure about your problem though. Really it could be any number of things. It might be a good idea to try to extract some codes from the computer anyways. Do you know how to? Is the car idling fine? Does it miss at idle? during...

MAS? You mean MAF (Mass Air Flow sensor)? If it has been updated with the speed density software then your MAF can be removed as the ECM now ignores it.

Is your computer spitting out any codes?

I've been pondering this also. The only way I would consider it is if I had a set of tails that didn't have any cracks in them. All in all, if you take your time and do it right I think it would look pretty B.A. when done.

Z26 Rear Bumper

I'd be hard pressed to replace a whole bumper because of some gouges. Why not fiberglass it and repaint the bumper or just the area that needs fixed? Just a thought.

I just restored some filler panels, that were completely destroyed using a bit of fiberglass.
