Re: The Old Man sold the California GTZ
I'd be interested in the dash and seats. Got a price in mind?

That sounds about right....a well cared for car in TN so it's not all the way across the country. No worries I will be patient and I appreciate the help. As far as budget I dont have one but it will be appropriate for the car as expected. Thanks again Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk Here's the...

Re: 1993 Quad4 GTZ: Project WTF
Yah sounds like it wasnt perfectly flat due to the obstruction. I wonder if the bearing for the shaft coming out of the trans is okay after that, do you think it incured some wear? I don't think the transmission itself incurred any damage as a result of the flywheel issues. I suppose it could have,...

Re: AC R12 or R134?
Here are my two cents: The system is likely STILL an R12 system, but the previous owner probably just installed the fitting adapters. There is more to an R12 or R134a system than just the refrigerant itself. Your car (being a 1993 model year) would have have an R12-specific compressor and thermal ex...

Re: 1993 Quad4 GTZ: Project WTF
Stock flywheel, no aluminum for me. With the help of heavywoody, we got it all back together this weekend. The bolts were completely loose and required no tools to remove, FWIW. First off, as best I can tell, the flywheel bolt pattern (at least on a Quad) is 'keyed' in that it can only bolt up one w...

Re: 1993 Quad4 GTZ: Project WTF
So I got my clutch job wrapped up last Saturday. Spent the entire day cruising in the mountains with a large group and the car did great. No issues at all. Got in the car to run some errands on Monday evening and heard a knocking sound which I recognized. The flywheel bolts had come loose!!!! Even w...

Re: How difficult is it to replace starter on 90 GTZ
Depends on your level of mechanical ability. It's not terrible difficult -- It's 2 bolts and a few electrical connectors. Nothing complicated but it is located underneath your intake manifold. If you still need to buy the new starter, a good option is the 96-99 (maybe other years) Cavalier Z24 start...

Re: 1993 Quad4 GTZ: Project WTF
Got the Clutchmasters today and put it in the car this evening. Still need to button a few things up but hopefully I'll get things complete by tomorrow evening. After all this, I hope I can put a few miles on this car before it needs anything else... haha! 20180724_173757.jpg 20180724_192544.jpg 201...

Re: 1993 Quad4 GTZ: Project WTF
I feel like I'm the only one here who never broke a clutch on a Beretta. lol I did have a throw out bearing fail once on my 88 GT causing it to spin and pop off the fork. That was scary because those clutch forks can't be found unless you get lucky and buy another 282 trans. lol. I got lucky that d...
