Re: BerettaFest Registration is OPEN!
Eric that wasn't necessary... Most of us are upset over the circumstances this year, but there just isn't anything we can do about it. We just have to take what we can get, and be glad that we still have that, as little as it may be. And as most people did whine about, Drag Racing is not the central...

Re: Official Itinerary
As noted in my reply to the yahoo group, I think this Dragway visit on Thursday will hurt attendance at least for that aspect of the event. Not many want to show up Thursday and then attempt to race or even can show up Thursday, some might have planned to come Friday to just make the dragway even, O...

Re: Any specific quirks to look for? 1993 3.1 Beretta
I've never seen god parents this involved in a kids life... I guess I just wasn't that lucky. Either way, typical leaks on a 3.1MPFI motor will be valve cover gaskets, the oil drive plug o-ring, and possibly oil pan gasket with that many miles. The 3t40 autos are pretty reliable and if it shifts goo...

Check this out, we are way off toipc anyway.http://www.gmtuners.com/gmtransinfo.htm lots of great info there and if you click on the ID charts you can get alot more info. Yeah sinister perf is an old chart... he doesn't include the 3t40, he only has one trans that's in the Beretta the 4t60e, and I ...

Re: top end swap ?'s
I have 3 gears and a TCC lock up. Not OD, not 4 gears, but it is suppose to act like an OD. Tire size can change gearing too. "Technically" it can't be an OD since OD referrs to a higher than 1:1 gear ratio, and really all a TCC lockup does is stops your converter from slipping ;) Just bu...

Re: 88 beretta window reg.
Dew strips are a luck of the draw at the junkyard... not many left, and GM doesn't have them anymore. As far as the other part, you need the bracket that holds the top of the window in the rail... I think you may be able to get that from GM, but who knows.

Re: top end swap ?'s
The THM125C and 3t40 are the same transmission... they only have 3 gears... NO overdrive like the 4t60e. Also the individual gearing of 1st 2nd and 3rd are different than the 4t60 gears which could have given you the feeling of the older car taking off quicker, but the FDR diff wise is typically the...

Re: Head rest - how to uninstall from drivers seat
You need to pull the cover up on the back portion of the seat till you can get your hand to where the head rest sliders are, there are two clips in there that prevent the rods from fully extending, pull those out and the headrest will come off.
