GAS TANK FILLER HOSE HELP

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
I have a problem I hope someone can help me with. I replaced the gas tank on my 1988 Beretta project. But the old original rubber hoses WILL NOT reseal. I have looked high and low for new filler neck hoses. But no luck. Does anyone have a solution for this problem? I see hoses are available for 93-96 models. And I see replacement "METAL" filler neck TOP tubes available that look to be much longer than the 88"s.
So, does anyone "KNOW FOR SURE" if I can solve my problem by buying a 93-96 metal gas filler top piece and a 93-96 rubber filler hose. and it fit the new 1988 gas tank?
