92 Quasar Quad

Post by 92BerettaProject »

Ok, this thing has got to go...

This is the top of the line Beretta made in 92. Usually agreed to be the fastest stock Beretta made. It's Quasar Blue 2.3 Quad 4 with the gray interior. I believe it has every option offered including a sunroof. It's got 121,xxx miles and an awesome stereo. I'll dig up the specs but the pictures pretty much speak for themselves. Since I took these pictures I put on 94+ blackout rear trim.

I wish I could say this is a perfect car, but it spent the first few years of it's life in Minnesota and has underbody rust. Those that have seen the exterior in person will tell you it is awesome.

It has developed two new problems of late. The freaking spoiler cracked! How does that happen in SoCal? One morning I noticed a split in the spoiler and over time it has separated even more. The second problem is with the engine. It is losing coolant but I'm not sure where. It doesn't seem to leak any and there is not water in the oil. So I "think" it has a cracked head and the coolant is getting into the cylinder and burning. It runs ok and I took the car to New Mexico and back (over 2,000 miles) and other than having to add coolant I had no issues. But in any case, I'd say it needs to be carefully checked.

Price? I don't know. Just make me an offer. I want it gone so I'd take anything reasonable but I want it picked up; no shipping because most shippers are a PITA.

The car is located in Southern California. These pictures were before the split spoiler.

Holy Crappola!

Jim put the W-41 in it and Craigslist the bugger for $3500.

Good luck with it.

(I think the Germans sabatoged it 'cause they are jealous!)

I wish...nobody in California wants these things. I still like the car but I'm just not driving it and I'd rather see it have a good home.

The spoiler is a non-issue. They are not hard to find. And matching paint is easy these days.

The coolant thing is a concern as I am 2800 miles away.

I'm in need of a Road Trip, and thought your red one was going to be the target sooner or later.

Thinking............

BUMP for a car that needs a new owner so I can STOP thinking about it, and then Jim will hate me 'cause I'd put my 3500/3t40 in it.

I'll drop it off at Reagan's house (is she still in Santa Monica?) and you can fly out, drop a new head on it if you're worried, and drive it home.

Hopefully we will still see it on this board? It is a beautiful car.

It will. It now belongs to my girlfriend and the car is in my loving arms. (the girl is too....but...whatever)

The CAR is in my loving arms. I vow to take care of her and keep her maintained and preserved.

She will create an account later..I've been bothering her about it.

The car was washed today and being waxed today as well with Mequiar's Gold Class car wax. It has also been branded with the 'www.beretta.net' sticker on the top of the rear window.
