How far would I have to shave the heads to reach 9.5 - 10:1 compression with a 3400?

It would be too much, It's not worth it. Do it the right way and buy a set of pistons.

3500 CC's are 32.4cc

3400 CC's are 28.6cc

Well, I'm not doing any bottom end work on it. Just not worth it. 4cc's are not that much though. Maybe I could slap 4cc worth of JBWeld on the combustion chamber... JUST KIDDING!

What are you trying to accomplish? If you do it right the .35 compression loss is not enough to really hurt much.

The increase in flow will most certainly more than make up for the small drop in compression.

If you like I can even arrange to have a multi-angle valve job done on them, and have the Comp springs installed, although then i would probably want to keep the damn things, LOL!

I'd leave the stock valves & valve seats for what I'll be doing...I'd assume they have a 3-angle from the factory like my Vortecs. I'd just hate to leave any compression on the table though, compression is a good thing. My next SBC will be 11.5:1.

Thats a great deal on those springs! I rev to 6500 many times every day and they are holding up great

Damn i wish i had the money for that factory CD player... I wish the previous owners would have kept the original one to my 94 with it. I am sending out the money order for the shirts tomorrow. When my roommate actually pays me for rent, i might have the money for that radio lol. thats probably a one time thing as you will never find another that works lol

Well I actually have three of them. They were not all that rare in Canada because people were finding that their Cassettes froze in the winter so GM rushed the CD technology on the Canadian cars.

This one is perfect. All lights work and the plug has not been messed with for some aftermarket crap. Just plug it in and it's good to go.

How many CD players are you bringing? and how many are spoke for? I'm still unsure if I'm putting my boom boom box in the pink car yet... It only makes sense because it will be so hard to put an aftermarket deck in my Legacy, plus that's already a 6 disc changer, I just need better speakers.
