Thanks guys, love driving it, needs a little here and there but pretty happy so far.

I need to get out and take some proper photos though, weekends are always so crazy for me running my own business.

I FINALLY found someone who was GOOD at welding and could bring a welder over to get the brackets welded in for the the recaros! I want the ability to slide forward and back hence the large bracket. Once i know where everything is supposed to weld/mount, I will order a new black carpet, cut the necessary holes and then install the new carpet !! :D

They look pretty sharp in there. How well do they move so far as recline, tilt, slide? Stock seats usually suck at slide adjustments. Any plans for the rear seats?

My 'Vert Z-28 is getting Audi seats retro-fitted in -they do sit just a tad high, even when dropped fully (power height-adjustable), but they are sooo nice. They even have little courtesy lights at the bottom rear for the back-set driver.. Um, I mean 'passenger'. :D Brackets look pretty easy for the front seats -I am hoping to do a bolt-in adapter bracket, but not if it pushes the seat even higher... The rear bench/bucket will be a little challenging, but will be worth the install (I think).

They have full slide adjustment, tilt all the way back and foward. Ill get some better pics after my holidays, super comfy seats!

Rears will most likely get reupholstered black when i start putting my black interior pieces in and the new black carpet shows up

welp... new block needed. was running really well. Was just cruising around, downshifted to go around someone and had a boost spike, popped a rod through the block. :(

Ouch! My '90 Turbo 'spiked' once on the original 3.1, after I put in an in-flight adjustable wastegate control valve (all mechanical, of course). I thought I had cranked it up to an 'aggressive' 9psi, until I caught sight of it climbing to 12 before it settled itself there. Never did hurt itself though, luckily. Of course, old MPFI heads even at 12psi manifold pressure still don't get a lot of molecules in the chambers -a saving grace perhaps. I doubt my 3.4 in that car now would survive that much boost for long -not with the compression ratio I have. I've also have concerns with compressor-surge on the 3.4 DOHC LQ1 in my '95 Z-26, I've been pointed to possibly having too small vacuum lines to the bypass valve actuator, but I haven't taken the time to switch things out yet -I have a hard time keeping the car driveable under high boost where I drive it anyway, so not critical (yet).

Were you running stock internals? I don't recall what psi your turbo is running, or how your wastegate is set up. Do you know what failed? Will you keep with the 3500 series, or consider a 3900?

Internals were done by Chris wayyyy back, block is a 3400..

Was running right about 10-12psi.

Having the cam, pistons and headstuds i think ill stick with the 3400, not sure of the swapability of those parts into the 3900..

Once the 91GTZ is out of the garage and out of the way, ill put the engine to assess the full extent of the damage, as of right now, just a hole I can see.
