He stays pretty busy with his day job, side job, channel, bimmers (plural), jeep, ZF6 and vw buggy. It is basically finished now though. Spankranchgarage on the youtubes

Just looked through this again. Gonna go straight to wilwood pedals on mine. Steering column will probably still be fun. But I'm thinking I'll offset the engine to the pass side to match the offset pinion on the 8.8.

That helps balance-off the weight of the driver in all-out competitive handling -most racers don't take a passenger with them, unless they are racing in Herbie. The offset can be found in a grand number of cars, it is VERY noticeable in my '68 Javelin SST -anyone with a set of eyeballs would notice the offset in that car. It could have some to do with clearancing for the driver's controls as well, and certainly a bit to make the compartment more comfortable for the driver, who is likely also the buyer. Though I will say that for AMC and the Javelin it is more a performance thing -they needed every edge they could get just to lose their Trans Am Series races back then, and they wanted those wins so very very badly... :pardon:

Well, even if Tiffany rides along the offset will still be needed to equalize the weight. haha
But enough hijacking Barry's thread I guess. I'll have more info on mine soon.

And Barry needs to do a youtubes video of his junk! (And not the Bimmer he just blew up)
