Chevy K5 value?

Post by GTU89 »

I was wondering, what would a good selling price be for a 1987 Chevrolet K5 Blazer, bull/brush bar, 305, Automatic (rebuilt), locking hubs, 6 lug, removable hardtop, not lifted or anything dumb looking (IMO) like that. Brand new 33x12.50s (IIRC that is the size)

Has some body rust in the typical places.

Looks alot like this one, stock (IIRC) "wagon" wheels, tires might be a tad bigger, and the top is the factory rough texture.

If its in as good of shape as that one, I'd say between $5,500 - 7,000. Around here anyway.

-1995 Chevy Beretta Base *SOLD*
-1998 Chevy Silverado 4x4
-2016 Chevy Silverado Z71
-2014 Harley Davidson Street Glide

1995 Chevy Beretta Base - 3100 V6 w/ 284,000 and still kickin'.

Same as around here, pretty rare beast there.. i would say closer to the 7 K mark if not more.

I see the older trucks that style selling for 5 K around here. that thing has to be pretty rare.

Don't undersell your K5, they are much rarer than just a regular ol' truck.

I would expect a minimum of $4000, but you could get even more if it's in as good shape as the one in the pic.

Man, and I was gonna shoot for around $1000-1200!

It has the usual rust around the wheel well lips, and the tailgate has a small hole in it. I would probably try to fix that stuff before I sold it. It really is still nice looking, doesn't look like a pos or anything like that. Runs and drives excellent.

$4000 to $5000 seems to be the average price for ones in the shape of mine, there is one on CL for $2600, runny grey primer, bondo queen, hackjob lift, no bumpers, looks like a piece of crap.

I'll have to get some pics up, I just don't like to plug my smartphone into the computer because I loose all my music playlists on the smartphone.
