They are still hoping to run Aug 5th, so we have 2 weeks for them to recover... We'll see how it goes.. Cicero is closer, but still 2 hrs 45 min away from Epping... so about 2 1/2 from Albany... Thats too far, Unless location was changed too... but with all the hotel reservations done already thats kinda hard.

Epping has Ford Fest that weekend. Now THAT might be interesting...............NOT!

If Cicero is the Plan B the hotel would have to be changed as well IMHO if that is even possible at this point.

That said, LVD can clean that up easily in a few days if it stops friggen raining.

Weather today in Albany, 100% chance of heavy rain.

YIKES!!

Haven't heard how long / how bad everything is but as you can tell it's pretty bad. They were calling people during the storm to come get their trailers quickly, and used some of their heavy equipment to pull them out. Like the article said though, some of those motorhomes across the street were flooded up to their windows :(

Cicero is further from here yes... but remember I'm staying at the hotel in ALBANY... so from there Cicero is closer.

Cicero prides themselves on track prep too. It hooks WAY better than Lebanon ever dreamed of. Just make sure your drivetrain can take it...

I'm curious to see how well the track held up.

I was watching that other post, and quite a few people with faster cars are worried that there may be some bumps in the track or some underlying damage they dont know about, and really would only affect higher speed cars.... If thats true they may start tearing into the track to fix it... but I hope there isn't anything wrong.

Maybe they'll just let slow cars like Berettas run!

something about the excavator leaving indents behind. wonder where on the track this happened.
i'll be up the tonight to see how it looks, i hope it's not gonna be a dustbowl with all the mud and dirt that was left behind from the flood. the track looked actually looked really good when i was there saturday except for some damage at the edge of the track where the barriers fell over. however the they were placing dirt track tires cut in half under the excavator probably i would think to protect the track from the tracks digging into the track BUT the tires dug imprints into to track, so i can only imagine how that will feel to a something with no suspension or worse yet a motorcycle. i can only hope he does something to fix that.
also lvd 2300 posted a bunch of photo albums one has a pretty good washed out part in it. must have been the pits and shutdown area.

Sometimes they only use about 2 inches of it and get pushed back off...

That seems to be quite common with 3400/5-speed beretta's too...
