Wanting to ditch the stock wheels

My Beretta(top pic, 93 base model) has the standard stock 14x6 20 hole steel rims. I bought this car 2 yrs ago and it will need new tires soon and am wanting to upgrade a few things namely rims. I am looking at the 16x7 - 5 spoke pattern wheels but am not sure if they will fit my car. Ebay says they will fit but the GM parts direct says they won't. I don't know the offsets of either rims which i am guessing is the reason they might not fit as the wider tire would potentially rub against the strut. Can anyone help me out whether they will fit without modification or can be made to fit(some type of spacer or mod to the strut)? If not then what other rims can I possibly consider?

Yes, they absolutely will fit. I don't find the 12394412 part number, but the other GTU wheels you posted will fit. 205/55r16 is the stock tire size for those, and offset is 42mm IIRC.

Ok thx. I'm having trouble finding an entire set of them, just one available at like three different websites.

These rims from Cavelier models are15×6. Will they fit do you know and are they directional(left side and right side) like the gtu rims?

Ah, I have seen those before. But I'm not sure on the specs...never cared much since the GTU wheels at 16x7 are better for performance driving.

YES, the Cavvy rims you posted are 100% compatible, NO they are not left/right specific like the 16-inch GTU/Indy rims they are styled similar to. Tires will be a smidge cheaper usually for the 15-inch rims, the 16s (as stated) will corner better due to shorter side-walls and wider tires, but nothing wrong with the 15s and a slightly taller sidewall actually gives a softer ride, so if you are trying to feel good about the 15s, there are plenty of reasons to justify them.

Ok thank you. I have managed to find a set of the cavalier wheels and have them on the car now.

Not sure how to post good pictures because it keeps telling me that file size is to large. So I've edited the photo to just show the back tire in this shot. Needless to say the new wheels look great tho!

Oh, that does look nice! Did you color-in the inserts to match your car yourself? Very sharp!

Yes I bought a small bottle of acrylic paint for a buck and used a small brush I had from my childrens' art stuff when they were younger(all grown now, lol) and colored all four wheels the same way. The red tint I picked matches the car tint perfectly. Thanks for the compliment.
