2014 Beretta.net Committee Nominations

Post by quad4berettagtz »

It's time again to bring in some new committee members!

Facts:

Beretta.net's committee is comprised of 4 permanent members, and 3 that are elected annually. Each year we take nominations and vote on people from our general membership to fill those 3 open positions.

Permanent members:
-Mike Pride, Chairman
-Will Hathaway, Webmaster
-Jon Chmura, Board Admin
-Cliff Scott, BerettaFest Registrar

In 2013 our elected officials have been:
-Paul Keller
-Patrick Boutwell
-Chad Michels

RULES FOR NOMINATING:
-Each nominee MUST NOMINATE THEMSELVES... Nominating others will NOT be accepted!
-Once nominated, the nominee MUST be publicly seconded by at least ONE other member.

It's just that easy!!

Nominations will run from now until 10pm CST Monday November 18th. All seconds MUST be recieved by that time or the nomination will not be accepted.

Following the nominations, voting will be held from November 19th through 10pm CST Sunday November 24th.

Polling format will be announced when polling opens, so stay tuned!

Good luck to all our nominees!

I would hereby like to decree that I, representing myself and only myself in my entirety, will be nominating said self for a position within the prestigious Beretta.Net committee. I fully declare that as myself, an official representative of the BPS, have the knowledge, the desire and the flat out insanity needed to lead this group of rag-tag misfit owners of a once forgotten car into 2014 with an heir of class, dignity and raw unadulterated passion for that which is the Beretta Owners and Enthusiasts community.

Having been a member of this community since 2004 I have not only recently been promoted to the Social Media Manager for the community, I have also produced a calendar winning photo submission 5 times, attended numerous BFests and even planned, proposed and executed the winning BFest location as an official committee member for 2013. With that having been said, I feel I have the meddle necessary to conduct this job to the fullest.

I will second Ryan's nomination - he's a class act that always does a good job :) Now if I can just get that candy back that he took from my kid...

I will also throw my hat into the ring for a Committee spot. I was on the committee back in 2004 for the original Bfest Denver, and while I have been somewhat MIA for the last few years (ok fine, 8 years...) I am back with a vengeance now and would love an opportunity to help.

I hereby again nominate myself for this illustrious position. I have served on the committee for the previous two years, and have brought a unique aire of professionalism and distinction to the post. Serving even in times when no one else wanted the position.

I run on the flawless track record of handling the event as my number one priority, and keeping the event on time and under budget, and being all around spectacular at breaking things, -every single year-.

I can promise plenty of baby kissing, world peace, and Mike Pride 's vacation enjoyment if elected.

Once again thank you.

I second, or in some cases third, all of the above. Chad, because he trusted a total stranger to drive him to Michigan to get his GTZ and never ceases to provide entertainment and to drop knowledge of all sorts. Ryan, because well, he rocked those awesome flames back in the day (oh yeah, and he's a pretty awesome guy as well). And Aaron, because of his history with the community and what a stand up guy he seemed to be when meeting at Bfest this last year.

I am formally nominating myself for a spot on the committee. To those who may not know, I've been around the Beretta scene (and Bnet) since 1999. I think if the Eibach Group Buy didn't prove my dedication to the cause, I'm not sure what else would... I could've just taken a 6 month long worldwide vacation with all that money, but I didn't - I paid Eibach! LOL!! :D Also, if elected, I promise to fix the vending machines in the cafeteria and make every Friday "Pizza Friday". :Yahoo!:

I'll second Brian, even though he gets to be on the committee anyway as one of Bfest 2014's local contacts ;)

I was gonna say... both he and I should be on the committee regardless (this year at least).
