Re: Loss fuel pressure prior to start
OKAY! to the nearest pound, 44psi with fuel pres. reg. hose removed at idle. 38psi when idle in normal state.
Now I still have a hella leakdown when that pump cuts off. I have not checked it to my 89GT, to see the leakdown it has. haha, probably will do it after I post here and so only I know the results... The pressure takes 3-4 sec after the key goes fwd to hit 20psi or so. it starts around 15psi and climbing. When shut off though, it goes from 38lbs down to 0 in like 2sec.
thing is, I measured these #s twice, and have like 2 gal at most in the tank. maybe it'll tighten up when topped off. No special purging done, so there was air in the return line I'm sure. the car ran at idle immediately with no hiccups.
It also behaves normally now, so thank you for your help, because its hard to believe after putting in a new part, that it is fact bad when trying to troubleshoot something, and thats what it was-the backflow valve in the new pump motor.
