Thought there was a topic on that here. Some kind of silicone and the link said that you could use dielectic grease if you had nothing else. This is just one more thing on the long list of things I need to search for this winter.
3X00 you are right about the UV and the heat dries them out too.
Not the same link, but this could be helpful:

My strips installed on a trim piece.
I have two different versions ordered and I believe the first set I did was with the MR172X pn on their website I ordered that back in 2012 and never did anything with it and lost the receipt... It's a bit thinner and I believe it may work better, but I wont know till I try to install both versions.
The YMR260X is also another option, It has a longer flap but I'm not sure if that is better or worse... Once again I'd have to have all three made up to test them and I may just do that this winter.
Pics are of the MR87X Piece installed.

One on the right may work, but that extra tab of metal that sticks out in the center area just makes it harder to cut and make space for the tabs, it may end up too thick...That could also be an optical illusion because That looks very similar to the cross section of the YMR260X. It's a longer flap which may fit better, the ones I'm using are shorter but would still touch the window.

OK I'll ask and see what they say.
I will get the measurements or see if I can get a source.

Okay, so being a realist, price is certainly a concern. Partly because I would be looking at 3-5 sets (five Berettas in the family, at least three of them badly needling new fuzzies, the others will eventually if not now I am sure), and it isn't really at the top of my priority list. BUT, being a realist, I also know that you get things when they are available. So, my vote is cast, and I am watching with interest. That universal one looks like a very good option so far as I am concerned -do they make this stuff in bulk rolls?

I have a brand new set still in the package from the dealership. I was going to put them on my '89GT but I am glad I didn't I had to part it out after it got hit for the second time.
Not everyone loves a Beretta, But those of us that own one, love what we have.

Let me know if you want help with the background work. I'm limited on time to pioneering this, and I may be able to help. If I were spearheading replacements, I wouldn't want to do it alone.
