Bet it looks great when the back half gets a wash. Are those side marker turn signals blacked out? I would think you would want someone to see them if you are turning.

I'd tint the side running light to match the side indicator light. :D

I'm pretty sure they are just dummy plastic like in euro-spec cars came with, or painted over because of some really fucky light regulations back in the early 90's. These days you can have those lit if they are amber both front and rear.

Most older cars have the wiring cut completely so that can't be done without rebuilding it, like my white car.
This be'ing original eurospec, most likely there is no wiring at all for side lights.

That is odd, it was a safety thing over here and started around 1969. Well that's that.

Both aspects are true, as they also don't have the required "hole" for a light bulb. Also no wiring at all.

It is indeed just stupid to drill a hole on fender when there would be a nice slot on plastic bumper.

Also: I had the car inspected and there were some problems with the emissions test but after running a few minutes, it passed it. I just had to change the right side's arm thingy too due it had some bad rusting on it.

Might be a good idea to change the other too. That way you would have new bushings and new ball joints on both sides.

Yep, also remember to get interchangeable Opel parts, they are way much cheaper than ordering anything overseas and don't even think buying any of this stuff from local US-cars parts stores, they will rape you with the price.

Also I've noticed the aftermarket stuff made for German cars is more robust than the Taiwanese made junk for US cars.
