Putting 91 gtz back together... need a hand..

What is mising here..? Stabilizer bar?

That stabilizer link definitely needs to be replaced. It looks like the struts are new, did you reinstall the mounting bracket for the stabilizer link when you swapped the struts?

The 91 style has a mount that bolts to the knuckle. I'll get a pic.

I'm guessing you did KYB struts? The stock ones depending on year had tabs vs the big bracket. My 90 Indy has the bracket style. Also remember the end links are different for the bracket version and the direct strut tab version.

What fronts did you buy then? Most other brands came with the Strut tabs on them by default.

Nevermind, I'm thinking late year struts... They didnt have the bracket and they integrated it into the strut itself.

You bought specific to 91 which had the brackets your looking for and not the strut tab.

Im pretty sure i did, but apparently not, as the struts dont have the tab or the brackets..

so now i have to tear my garage apart to see if i have the brackets anywhere... OR try and find a pair.

What he's saying is 91-spec struts don't have tabs because the old brackets are to be reused. So I'm sure you did get the 91 stuff. I tried making up some brackets to use heims as the end links, but it was too bulky to work at full articulation. High-misalignment rod ends could work.

That's what I've been wondering this whole time... He had to have had a set prior to changing these struts, UNLESS the previous owner had installed newer model year struts that had the tabs on them and he removed those struts during this replacement task.
