'90 Indy Beretta Driver's outside rearview mirror
Am in dire need of assistance. The stem of my outside driver's mirror is broken internally of the boot. This results with the mirror just flopping around, The three bolts which attach it to the door frame are all intact and holding snuggly. I've disassembled it to that point but I can't quite guess what would be the outcome if I undid those three nuts.
I suppose everything inside the boot is made of plastic. Is there a illustrated parts breakdown that shows the inside of that mirror boot? More importantly, has anyone experienced this problem and have information important to making repairs?
Ideally I would suppose, replacing the mirror is my best option but finding one of these is like looking for hen's teeth. Does have any suggestions that would be beneficial for me?
I thank everyone in advance and appreciate input.

Hen's do have teeth.....

The three bolts hold the mirror to the door, the base-plate to be exact. Also that attachment point that is broke is made out of pot metal on the door side and the material of the mirror on the mirror side. It's not all "plastic"

Truly amazing that you located this mirror assembly and I thank you for your efforts and the reposting you did for the information to get to me. I am currently trying to find some sort of parts breakdown illustration to see if the guts can be transplanted to my unit. Unlike the one for sale, my mirror case is in perfect condition as are my cables and controller. The one on eBay appears to have been flooded? or otherwise abused.
Hey, I see you reside in Brooklyn, CT. While I currently live in Gurley, (Sweet Home) Alabama, I did spend some time living in CT, first in Clinton and then in Ledyard. Beautiful countryside and great meals at the casinos. Don't gamble so can't report on friendly casinos - or not
Thank you for your due diligence working on this site. We almost hit a home run this time around with this eBay mirror. Just need to find one in better condition. I appreciate your continuing efforts.
