Pick-a-Park: National Park Day!

• Shenandoah National Park & Skyline Drive, $15
  • Enjoy the panoramic views from overlooks scattered on lofty Skyline Drive, which runs 105 miles down the length of the 300-square-mile sanctuary. Drive just a bit, or drive it all - it is up to you!

• Cedar Creek Battlefield& Belle Grove Plantation
  • Battlefield: Free
    • Visit the Battlefield or follow the self-guided driving tour
  • Plantation: $15
    • Tour the 1797 Manor House: learn about the plantation owners and enslaved workers alike.

• Harpers Ferry Historic District (West Virginia), $10
  • At the confluence of the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers, on the ancestral home of the Tuscarora and Shawnee people, lies Harpers Ferry. Here you can explore John Brown's Raid against slavery. Find your connection to the struggle for freedom, education, and civil rights at Storer College. Discover miles of trail in the Blue Ridge and along Civil War battlefields.
