3400 intake manifold swap
Anyone ever swapped the 3400 intake manifold on to there 3100 block?
ANy improvement? Any disappointments? I know its kinda like a direct fit and all and you need both the lower and upper manifold, but does anyone know how the EGR valve hooks up to the manifold?

Well I'm pretty sure your 3100 was made before 99. And if I'm right you would need either 99+ 3100 heads or same year 3400 heads. It wont fit on the heads you have because of the ports. You would probably have to block your current EGR for it to work, unless you wired up the newer style.

The manifolds will bolt up to all years. The egr is the issue.

ALL 3400's are OBDII and stay the same from 96 to 99 where its like the late 95 and 96 Beretta on top. In 00 it went to a side mount.

They are all the same...except the minivan ones have the thread in insert for the lower intake needed for installation. Otherwise you need to show your creativity. This applies for the 3400 swap as well. I have not gone into this that much. I made a custom insert. The future s swaps will get cut threads into the manifold.
