Looks like I will not be eating bananas anymore!  Time to look for another fruit with  fiber, potassium and vitamin C all in one.

(SuzukiGhostRider @ Mar. 25 2008,00:25)QUOTEPiece of advice. If you're hoping to collect unemployment between jobs DO NOT quit, make them fire you.  Otherwise you'll be ineligible for unemployment. And as to the degree..... yup there's a reason I chose not to waste my time/money on a college degree. I've not made less than 36,000 a year since I was 18 and last year I made over $50,000 doing Oil Field Drilling and THAT was a lean year! All on a HS Diploma. College is generally a waste of time and a money pit you spend a decade or better digging out of. GL finding your way brother! I hope it all works out for the best for you.
Mike
I wouldn't go as far as saying college is a waste.  Would you really want me trying to draw your blood or give you stiches without a degree or any idea how to?

I grad. with my Assoc. this year and then within the next yr or 2 I will have my Bachlor's.  When I'm done I'll be making $60-$100/hr.  I can't say that my education is a waste of time.

Congrats on the new job. Are you going to be working at that giant place buy your house with the fun curves in the road. I forget what it is exactly but IIRC it is a distribution center for a large grocery store chain.

No not that place but it's close by. Remember when we met up with Flick out in Ephrata and took a drive down a back road and opened the rexmobile up a bit? It's the next road down about 1/2 a mile.

This job has quite a few advantages/perks over my current job.

same pay with an evaluation and raise after 30 days, 6 miles away from home vs 31, takes no more then 15 minutes to get there vs an hour drive. better benefits as well too.

The biggest advantage is that I'm not sitting in a chair in front of a computer all day anymore.
