I told him I can be your best man as long as its NOT on the days of Bfest, if so then he would be best man less.  LOL!

spacecadetz26, i need to talk with you.

Oh and for some reason i'm still thinking about making a side trip to California!

If i could jump on a train (California Zephyr) in Chicago Union Station at 23th monday 2PM,
(might me a tight timetable to get there) train would arrive to San Francisco 25th 6:10 PM.

Then i could spend 2 nights @ there, see the Golden Gate and all, then hop to plane witch
would fly back to Chicago, leaves 27th 6:35pm and lands 12:39am on 28th.

Then next plane (to home) would leave 6 PM.

I found out that all this would be pretty reasonable price for me with this currency course we haev now, so only if timetable would match... it would be sweet. Hmmmm....

Oh yeah i know the train ride would take a lot of time but i read it's worth it because of the views you can see on that  2,438 miles (3,923 km) ride.

Thoughts?

That is an awful lot to cram into a short period of time, but it would be quite a trip.

IMHO San Francisco is over rated. So is Las Vegas.

But then I have been there several times.

Just glad you are coming!!

I absolutely love to see around, i'm a explorer type person, so i dont think i will be yawning at San Francisco if i end up in there And it's still 'other side of the globe' for me.

And how often can i fly over to do all these things.... never thought this could happen so soon again anyway. I hope i'm not too mutch trouble for people over there, stupid shy tourist with funny accent

One eur = 1.56620 USD, think it as 56% off all the prices

Add in that here taxes are 3-8x more than there so it also brings some power to my tiny paycheck. Salary level is higher in here, but we'r used to lose most of it to taxes.

But seriously, sharing costs with my g\f and we live poorly here so we can have a trip like that..
