90 gt warm miss
90 gt warm miss
I have a 90 gt 3.1 that has a miss when it warms up. It's not a random miss but very consistent. The car has a new fuel pump (with 38 psi press), new IAC, temp sensor, and 02 sens, air filter and fuel filter. I also put new plugs and wires in and a used ign. module. It almost acts like it's out of time. It has the digital dash and the temp never goes over the 1/4 mark, so I checked the hot temp and it was only 164. I then let the car idle for 15 min till it hit 200 and still no change. I was wondering if a crank sensor can cause this kind of issue, or do they either work or they don't. Also someone brought up the map sensor but it tested good with a multimeter. The car still runs pretty good for 20 yrs old and gets 30 mpg (after I put in a new TCC solonoid) but the miss kinda annoys me, especially when I hit a red light and have to put it in neutral or it starts to lope pretty bad. Any sugg. are greatly appreciated

Is it a lope only at idle? Check all your vacuum lines and make sure there are no cracks or breaks first.

It's only at idle, but only lopes when in gear and stopped, if I put it in park or neutral it doesn't lope but still has the miss. I have checked the vac lines and replaced some and sprayed starting fluid around the intake and heads at idle and nothing

The safe way to check the coils is to pull one wire off a coil, start the car and see if the miss is gone(keep doing it until you find it,but don't let it run for a long time). If it is a coil you can swap them and see if the miss moves with the coil(just to be sure it's not something else).
