Bump, for better help than me. Don't change the MAP, it won't help. Hang in there until the big boys show up. I have never ran into this kind of thing so all I can do is guess.

Have you pulled the rail to see if the injector is in fact not firing? That's the only way to be sure. Also I thought since this is MPFI the only sensor that would tell it when to fire the bank would be the crank sensor and since your getting spark it sounds like that's ok...

regulator would prevent any pressure... When you turn the key on the pressure builds and the holds after the pump shuts off right?

Next thing to check could be the oil pressure sending unit, on some of those models I think they may have been wired into the fuel pump relay and if there was no oil pressure detected it would kill the pump... But then again I'm only guessing, I'm not sure if that's true or not.

Yeah that would say something...

Did you install a full cluster into a base car that didn't have a gauge before? If so you just have a "light" type sensor, you need the "gauge" type sensor. one is digital or analog, and the analog one is significantly longer than the digital one, and you need the analog if you have a dash oil pressure gauge.

I have seen Oil Pressure gauges max out when the key is turned on. Mine 3500 does.
