The way you keep talking this up, I may want to take it for a short spin just to see/feel the difference, but I wouldn't go crazy with it of course. Sounds like it would be fun to drive. lol
I promise not to hurt it though.

Whats your final stall speed? I know you said he modified the FA1B one.asylum wrote:It does have a pretty neat "lope" to it however, and that damn FA1B converter is simply amazing. Seems Billy nailed it again with the best of the best!
I was told with my configuration and what I sent back to PDQ that I would end up with a 3200 stall speed.

Don't know.
I haven't driven it more than 10 miles yet.
Rodney is still messing with the tune.

Everybody relax!
The car runs and drives and is very quick, but like everything when you change all the parameters it needs some attention.
And that is going to take Rodney a week or so to figure out.
We have scrapped the idea of the 4.2 Trailblazer injectors already, and they are still in the damn bag! Not going in this car, so they are For Sale along with the correct harness, along with a laundry list of quality stuff I bought and didn't use.
But that is OK. It runs, is happy, everything checks out, and now can we make it as quick as was hoped?
I really don't expect a 12 in a hurry, but it's gonna be close!

Rodney is looking at 3800 injectors, from what I don't remember, but to be honest, he loses me after about 20 seconds on duty cycling and pulses and Lord knows what the hell he is talking about.
I'll just let him sort it out.

I DON'T KNOW!
I just smile and nod and buy another round.
Rodney may or may not explain it all at some point, but I have NO IDEA!
I do know he won't stop 'til it's right!
Then I get to drive it and make everyone go WOW!

im using 3800 series II injectors from a 98 buick riviera supercharged. runs the same psi stock as my car does which is why i went with them and they use the same plugs so i dont have to alter the harness. i was using older series 1 injectors previously. both of the sets i have used have run on the stock 43.5psi.

The trailblazers have to run at 63psi and I didn't know that till last year sometime... Talk about retune.

Re: 3500 N/A auto in the 12's?
With all the changes, we decided to leave the "known" injectors in there for now to eliminate yet another variable at least to get it running and idling properly.3X00-Modified wrote:The trailblazers have to run at 63psi and I didn't know that till last year sometime... Talk about retune.
And now that the Trailblazer injectors look like they are not going to be the answer at 55psi it was obviously the right choice.
So they are for sale, with the correct clips.
We think we have a plan, but that is another story.
