Well any reputable body shop that will put the work into making that thing look new again in the front will charge at least 1000-1200 just to fix that. Seeing that it needs a hood, fender, bumper cover, metal bumper itself and new headlights/turn signal/fog lights.. I think 2800 is WAY high... I bought my Z26 with some front end damage but it wasnt quite that bad. The only things wrong with it was some body damage, the core support being pushed down and a bad motor for 600.

then after just under 1000 at the body shop (My parts car supplied the hood, header panel, headlights etc etc)

Just for a price reference.

I'd pay $50-$100 over scrap price for that car...

Its maine... Hows the rust... That would be my first question, then price would go from that answer. Which yes could end up being 50-100 over scrap.

If the radiator support isn't bent then it can be fixed quite easy, but it doesn't take much to destroy one, especially with the angle that sucker got hit and pushed up.

My red car got hit hard but I did fix it....

yeah, well apparently it has some mods... like racing cams and a machined block of some kind.. some special clutch and other performance mods... but I kinda wanted to buy a car without this much work being needed... It has a valid sticker and runs and drives.. but for the price I paid for mine in the condition mine is in... meh.. Idk if I have the resources to save this one...

That price is nuts, NO WAY! OBO LOL. Maybe if the damage was repaired they'd get $2800, if it really is all modded. But thats still pretty high, it would have to be completly spotless.

racing cams? you have either the option of w41 cams, 226 cams, and i think theres one other extremely pricey set, and that about covers it, machined block? tell him to shove it, special clutch??? spec? exedy? nothing too special there, just aftermarket..... im calling bull crap on this one... just walk away..
1991 beretta GTZ- 2.3l w41 cams, ported 086 head with a 3 angle valve job, fidanza flywheel with exedy racing clutch, 3.94fdr from and scx, so much more..

ok, I will do just that.. it just seemed sad cause I love gtzs and I wanted to rescue it.. but my financial integrity shouldn't be compromised... I may just settle with finding another indy or something as a daily driver... maybe a cheap z26... hmm any suggestions?

"Stage 2 porting"? WTF? Whatever. Probably got some dude to use his dremel on it.....

"High Flow , High Performance exhaust"? What? So , what it's got a 2.5" exhaust instead of 2.25"? I doubt it's got Ron's header or he'd have said that.....

"Weapon R short ram air intake"? Cool, an Ebay intake...... Still an WAI, anyway you slice it. I got one too. Got it at Autozone......

"Stage 2 Jet Performance chip". GREAT way to waste money.... Useless....

"Eibach racing springs"? Umm....No. Lowering, yes. Some improved handling, yes. Racing? No. Not designed for that, but will admittedly aid in it per the improved handling.

"KYB's" Finally , a solid mod that may be truthful.

"Muncie 5 spd stonecrusher transmission and Z51 racing suspension"??? What in de gently caress.............. "Stonecrusher"? Really? Retard driving..... It's a run'o'the'mill 282 Getrag dude. Get real. Z51 "racing" suspension? Fail. Bigtime fail.

"Front end is all new. Drive shaft, ball joints, wheel bearings. 2 new tires - Eagle GT's 225-50-16" Read between the lines here.... I beat the living gently caress out of my car, blew the engine, destroyed the front end by burning tires all the time and racing my car on the street. Wanna buy it now that I replaced all the parts I broke and threw two new tires on the front to cover up my abuse? Oh, yeah, I wrecked it too.... ROFL......

My favorite part of the ad though? "They only made this model for two years." HAHAHAHHA. Ennggghh.. Wrong again.... FOUR years. '90,'91,'92 and '93 and then THREE more as the Z26 which was just rebadged basically... '94,'95 and '96.

Car sounds to have a lot of new parts and some phantom "racing" parts *ROFL!!* and NO PICS. He says it just got clobbered at an intersection and yet he wants $2500 for the car? Why? Because of all those UBER AWESOME "racing" parts on it? Not.

Run away man. Fast! If you really pursue this, get LEGIT paperwork on all the claimed work done to it. Or at least take a REAL mechanic with you to protect your ass and your wallet.

Peace.

rofl, I've decided to buy a z26 anyways... the fiance' wants to be able to drive it and such... plus my gtz is plenty sexier than the supermodded wreck shown here.. I just figured it'd be funny to post this and see the reactions... hahaha I decided right after I received these pics and the first few responses that it's a total waste of time.. I mean, I did pay just a bit over a grand for my nice looking, low miles, non wrecked gtz
