you shouldn't have to. I'm not sure about the newer models but the old style dash types you just take off the cover and unscrew it. At least that's how I remember. The backs should be a tad bit harder since you have to take them out from inside the trunk, i believe.

What do you plan on getting?

the backs are 6x9, one of the most common sizes available. I, personally, swear by Pioneer equipment. My dad put some Pioneer 6x9's in the back of the Beretta about 20 years ago, and they still work and hit quite nicely for their age.

As for the fronts, I believe the newer model cars have some kick panels you can install and may work on our older cars. Those are 4x6 if I do recall, and is much more common size.

Check these guys out. I've bought from them and they've been good to me thus far.

The old style is the best for sound. Kick panels suck. Your rears should have a wire that holds them on if they are stock. Very easy to take out. The hard part is to find screws short enough that they don't poke up in the rear dash cover and still hold the new 6X9's. You could take the cover off, drill from the bottom and then run some bolts with nuts to hold them on. I didn't use a foam seal between the speaker and the deck on my 90GT.
Specs suck for buying speakers. Some look good on paper, but sound like crap. Still you can find an ok speaker that way. As always it's better to hear the speaker, then buy where you want for a lower price. There are many places online to find a lower price than Crutchfield(also more brands). Though they may price match if you ask.
Just remember that you fronts don't need to run bass. If you have to and it's a good idea, get some bass blockers for them(they will live longer).
Oh and the stock wires suck, replace them with some good wire from Home Depot(no need for the so called high end stuff). Crutchfield can tell you how to put the blockers on the right way.
Yes the fronts just have a cover that you can pry off. Then there is just two screws for each speaker. Back the screws first until they drop, them tighten them down(when putting the new ones on). Watch out they are easy to strip out. They are going into plastic.
