Swap shop of computer memory.

Post by Rodville »

What I am proposing is a memory swap. I have all of these extra memory sticks laying around. A bit old some of them but someone may have use of them. In exchange if someone else has extra memory laying around that I need we can swap.

Here is what I have at the moment (I have more in boxes if I dig them out)

4X 512MB PC133
2X 512MB DDR2 PC4200 Laptop
2X 512MB DDR2 PC4200 Desktop
1X 256MB DDR PC2700 Desktop

What I need.

1X 2GB DDR2 Laptop

I have a host of other PC and laptop components floating around if anyone needs something else. None of it is state of the art but it might help someone else keep a child's computer (or anyone else for that matter) running or upgraded.

NewEgg has DDR2 SoDimm 200 pin 800s for 22 bucks. Free shipping but its a 7-10 day slow mail. Of course if you order a few other items then it will go out 3 day UPS for free. LOL (I do this a lot)

I don't have any here or I would swap you. I can always use older RAM, never know what you can come across. Anything you don't want or need, let me know, I can ship you a brand spanking new memory chip. Or you can just get that one yourself and see what you just want to part with, I can kick you some for shipping or something. Let me know.

i used to have a couple 2 GB ddr2 laptop ram kicking around im not sure if i sold it or not ill have a look, my laptop died a year ago :(

Tigerdirect.ca is a good place to shop for computer parts as well

Newegg generally has better deals on ram and certain things on sale but for whole computers and hard drives tigerdirect is cheaper..

My gf bought me a 2 TB hard drive around xmas time from newegg and it was like $120 plus shipping so around 150 ish i think.. tigerdirect had the same drive for 90 bucks and its less the 2 hour drive from my house to one of their stores lol. western digital 2tb green drive 32mb cache i think works great just about have 1 tb full on it. Not sure what tigerdirect cost to ship to the US or maybe they have a warehouse or store in the US maybe.

Any time i buy computer related stuff i compare prices from both of those 2 places.

Tigerdirect I usually do my best to avoid. I used to work for them back when they had first taken over Midwest Micro/Infotel out of Fletcher OH. They cheapened everything, so I left. They got rid of all home end user support to focus only on business, school and other interests. Sorry but its a sore point. And price wise they aren't any better than ZipZoomFly or Egg, so meh. I guess in the past 5 years I have spent nearly 50k with Egg. They take care of me if I have problems. lol

BTW, he is in Florida, so pointing him to a canadian site doesn't help either. Though the US one isn't any better. LOL

TigerDirect is called CompUSA around here. But I was hoping to swap as I really don't have the cash to throw on that a the moment. Well unless I sell my euro tails. And I am not sure I want to do that or how much they would be worth.

Now that sounds like something I would be interested in.

I would be more than happy to order you some memory toward Euro tail lights. But I need to know their condition....

I know people have been getting anywhere from 75 to over 100 for those. I'm looking for a set that I can setup a custom LED mod with. I'm mainly after the lenses. IF they have cracked outer housings or broken standoffs, that won't hurt my needs much as long as the inner lenses are intact.

Let me know.
