Needles, CA is like the booniest of boonies. Been through there once. They have one McDonald's and everyone behind the counter is white. That's how out there it is.

Not saying working in general, just working at McDonald's. I'm pretty sure you'll agree with me that in most of the country, people working at McDonald's tend to be so-called, "minorities". So for me, personally, seeing all white folks working behind the counters was like culture-shock. I was like "WTF is going on here?" I felt I stepped into a time-machine or something. I gotta say though, best service I've gotten at a McDonald's. Very down-to-earth, kinda like one of those diners you see in the movies, and this was perhaps the first time I didn't need to resort to "spanish-mode" to understand the cashier. I hate that.

Wanako, it's a large city thing. Your from Cali... and from the sounds of it haven't been far from that state either. I'm not in the Boonies by any means in my state but the town I grew up in had only 1 black family in it... I just happen to be from the country side. Down south, I think the roles are reversed and you'll find a heavier minority population in the "boonies" type areas as well. Oh and if you think having white folk behind the counter enhances your experience...
