91 and older door panels on a 1990?

Post by indyyellow »

Other then the front part being an issue to put in a 1990 would they fit up otherwise? Seems to me a good interior guy could cut that flared part down to make it fit a 1990 if the door panel fits in otherwise.

The door panel does it otherwise. And I have seen pictures of them unmodified in a car and all they did was crush the dash a bit.

I was wondering if that portion of the panel that sticks out furthest, thus hitting the dash, could be cut down to match how far out the same area comes on a 90 panel and finished off to look decent by a good interior shop person. All the crap you see done to cars on all the PIMP MY RIDES or OVERHAULIN shows someone with similar skills could do that to a newer panel. These panels for 90 makes are just not around like the 91 and up, which I assume are all the same?
