If your referring to the 3400 pulley that comes on the GA's I may have one... What was the belt length?

Scratch that, the one I remember being there was a smooth pulley, you would need a ribbed in the boss location I'm thinking of to have the routing work correctly.

What application is that for? The only one I found with idler, aka 2.8 or 3.1 was 61.5" long, not 60.

This is a diagram I found for the MPFI motors without AC... This is not possible on a 3100 install due to the way the motor mount is setup, you need a AC delete pulley to get the job done, but its not a big deal really.

Image

If the pulley, aka part 9 uses the same boss that's on the 3400 timing cover that needs to be machined off for the 3100 Beretta installs then I might be able to make use of this if I can find the idler with the ribs on it... I may have one, but I still do have the right delete pulley coming anyways I'll have that doorman part by 4 today, and then I can re-use his belt and not have to buy another one.

The idler plully should be the same for any of the gm cars without ac yes the second pic in that photo is the correct on i used the 600k6 belt on my hybrid so it should work on his my engine mount design is the same as roberts.

Can't really say that because all the 3x00 motors came with AC to my knowledge, and the idler boss on the 3400 covers was simply for a different mount setup in the N-bodys. So that pulley would be specific to the MPFI motors.

Also that pulley and setup lists a 615k belt though for a 89 GT Beretta with no A/C

RA listing

ACDELCO Part # 6K615 More Information About this Part {#88932708} K06 13/16" x 62 1/8"
BELT,SERPENTINE 2 DOORS; w/o A/C

I'm gonna stick with what I have coming since I can re-use his bracket and re-use his belt without any issues.

too bad you couldn't do something like this.
http://www.grandamgt.com/forum/showthre ... ght=delete
i got the ac delete bracket setup like you showed a few pics up. the only thing i had a problem with was the bottom bolt not lining up but the ac compressor had the same problem. although the top 2 bolts held that in place for a few years.

The older 3x00 cars have a different lenght belt this problem happened on v6z24.com a couple times, I personally used the boss with a pully and a 600k6 belt and it work on the 3400 timing cover the older 3.1s are different for some reason i dont remember how to explain it, i used the same boss with a 3400 alternator and bracket and the belt length changed from 600 to 620

I'm good with this setup.

Just gotta clean up the bracket and paint it before going in.

And this is why I don't want to use the aluminum half shaft bracket. It's already cracked a little on this on you sent.

I also cannot get the outer cv off. I'll try again tomorrow but I don't want to break the shaft.

Well that second one is meant for this year and bracket... It bolts right to where the compressor bolted... Only problem is they don't include bolts and nuts so you need to come up with those on your own, kinda odd... The compressor side is threaded and the bracket they send is not so you can't use the same bolts that hold the compressor in.

For a 94+ car I would use the one I originally bought since your already using those mounting points.

Alex it took me a few min of looking it over to find that but that's why I don't like that setup, its very weak being only aluminum.

I also got the axle seal I need and the cam sensor and oil pressure sender yesterday, so really all I'm waiting on is Bret ;) Hope he shipped that shaft yesterday.
