GTU bodykit - how to take off the sideskirts?

Post by michi »

I have to take off the sideskirts off a GTU tomorrow and i wonder how the brackets are mounted. Are they mounted with some rivets like on the GTZ? Is it about the same mounting as on the GTZ, front an rear?
I should know this soon cause i have to take some tools with me and dont want to drive twice ;)

Rivets below or screws IIRC... the fender wells should be push clips or plastic rivets, then they just slide up and off like a stock base side skirt, they are held on with the same white plastic clips. The Z is completely different.

Yeah, i just took the bodykit off today. The brackets and everything are mounted with screws. Mostly needed a screwdriver, 8mm and 10mm nut to take the bodykit off. Worked great, untill i had screws that were rusted pretty bad and needed to get drilled out :D
