w41 swap question.

Post by Reese »

Looking at getting one, do I need any thing for wiring or is it straight swap?

engine swap or cams swap? you will need a custom chip burnt to get it up to 7400rpm... look at quad4forums.com, theres a guy that can burn you that chip.

A W41 is just an HO engine with different cams and eprom chip. Sometimes they have different pistons with 4 valve reliefs instead of 2, but not always, and it doesn't really matter. The compression is the same. So ya, you don't need a whole engine if you already have an HO quad. Just guy used cams and get a chip burnt or buy one done already. It only 10 more hp...
