Installed the new steering wheel and the rear shock/springs today.

The previous shocks had it, I mean those suckers were on life support back there. Those Gas-a-justs are jawsome! I don't know how I lived without them.

Wow what a clean underbody I have! :D

Operation awesome is complete. All new springs/struts/shocks on car. My god where changing the struts with springs ridiculously easy. I didn't even bother with a spring compressor either, the tension on the original coils were laughable at best. Tomorrow I'll get them aligned.

I took my extra grille and am chopped it up real good. We're talking about beretta awd concept car good. It's cut and now needs to get sanded smooth and a new coat of gloss black is in order.

*If you can't tell if I'm happy or angry with this post, don't worry, I can't either. It may be both.

:burn:

but seriously, i love the look of it and wished I had done it on mine a long time ago. I always loved the look of the AWD TT concept grill.

Well, it's a new year and it's out with the old and in with the new! My beretta is long overdue for some upgrades.

I put on some lighter rims than the ones before, they're still the good old 15x7's though.
some goals for the new year:
-take it to track days/Autocross this thing when the season starts up, just for a fun weekend hobby. I need to get out more.
-straighten out some dings and paint it white
-hopefully a neon rear disc upgrade (mainly a cosmetic thing than a practical one).
-Put the final drive ratio of a geo storm GSI (4.117) into this thing (stock 3.83).
-LSD the tranny while i'm at it. Quaife makes one for the isuzu impluse which should (90% sure) drop right into my good old mr3 unit. That's last on my list because they are expensive pushing near 900 bucks.
-put in a stock full gauge cluster from a '94 quad. I got one in the mail. should be here soon.
-cram a fidanza/stillen lightweight flywheel into it.
-finally install my front polyurethane bushings and slap on a rear swaybar
-put performance tires on it

I got 12 months to do this (not holding my breathe on the lsd this year though), In the end my beretta should be agile. Granted the 2.2 doesn't put out alot of power but I hope to build this car around that by keeping the unsprung weight low and keeping the rotational inertia weight mitigated by keeping the wheel diameter no bigger than 15". Grip is up from stock already(14x6~15x7), more to come with the right set of tires.
the brakes should be adequate since the wheels are small and the car has the lighter L4 engine it. The combination of the more aggressive GSI final drive ratio/ lightened flywheel should give my car some pep when accelerating.

damn your rear end is clean! what kinda tp you use? lol

i liked the originality of that saturn front bumper, i think if you did different headlights (and with the covers you were thinking), it would look neat.maybe needs a bigger bottom lip to boot as well.
