The dew strip is made up of a steel belt line encased with a specific rubber material with a felt backing that touches the window... I'm not trying to kill the hopes of this but without the belt line in it the weatherstrip will not hold it's shape well at all when mated to the outer molding of the vehicle.

3x00...she is going to do the best she can to replicate the original dew strips that go on the outside of the window. the inner ones i dont think will be possible with what she does. cool thing is that she can make the outer strips just about any color you want lol. Shawn that would be pretty cool if you could. i have to take in both a crappy set and a new set so she has a good set to copy and a crappy set to test on.

Which inner strips are you talking about the door panel, or the "felt part" of the outside backing of the weatherstrip belt moulding I think it's stapled?? Not 100% on this though never had one off and ruined a nice one trying to pry one off so its kind nerve racking taking one off that's nice. I'm pretty sure my garnet GTZ has a perfect set.

Would it be possible to cannibalize a junk one? Im not sure what kind of belt you're talking about. Is it like a radial tire belt line built into the rubber, or like a solid steel band? Perhaps the belt could be reproduced?
Just blind thoughts from a relatively uneducated perspective.

The belt moulding has a stainless construction underneath the ribbed rubber, and I think if I remember correctly since I'm not around my Gtz at the moment has 2 plastic end caps covering the rest of it up so you don't see the stainless construction.

I'd be down for a couple of sets as well depending on cost and how they are made of course.

This is the cross section of a generic belt line that is used for dew strips on some other vehicles.
I came up with this image illustrating what our's looks like. This is NOT including the outer molding part because that can not be part of this if anyone wants this reproduced... You would have to find good molding and replace just the rubber portion that is held in place with bent over tabs.
I've been through this whole thing to get them made the proper way and no one is willing to fork out over $5k to get a die made and then accept a min order of $1000 worth of these so until we have someone willing to do that we will never have them 100% duplicated.
Here is an original one that is very flattened
