I work in Pomfret and live in Plainfield.

You are pretty close, about 45-50 minutes. The person who owned the donor car I purchased was a middle aged woman, who then gave it to her son. They had a replacement (stock) GTZ engine installed which has about 100k miles on it right now. That's the engine that is going in my Beretta. :)

hey btw are you still interested in the body effects? I pulled the front, back and all side colored side pieces too. We could get together out my way if you wanted to come grab these parts.

Yeah I'm definitely still interested. When is a good time for you to meet up? I'll see what I can arrange.

I can meet up this coming week. I lost my job (layoff) so other than Monday morning I am pretty darn open. The donor car is located at my buddy's garage in Ludlow, but I can bring all the parts back here if need be as well. The donor car will be there until I add the old engine from my original GTZ into it for scrapping purposes. Are you interested in anything outside of the body ground effects?

** Update **

pulled axles off of my original GTZ (I will be calling it just GTZ now that donor car is stripped for most part).

so anyways

my GTZ's original seized engine has been pulled. i am currently working on stripping necessary components off of it and transferring them to the new engine.

bought a nice new solid rubber engine mount for front right on rockauto.com, which has faster shipping than ebay for the same price. I didn't think to take any pictures (sorry), but wil ltry to remember to take some today for those of you who are curious. I went with solid rubber instead of hydraulic simply because solid rubber lasts longer, and doesn't need to be replaced every 5 or so years.

hopefully by the end of this week the replacement engine will be mounted/bolted, plugged in, and ready to roll. I am going to have the car fully detailed (along with my mustang GT convertible) and I will be taking some snapshots of the two together once they are done.

I was going to be a bit more ambitious this time around, but I am going to port and polish the engine for good measure, and possibly chip it.

Too bad you didn't have the money to put a timing chain and a water pump on the new engine. Oh headgasket too.

Needs the machined lip that is typically on them... I don't like how they just vanish into the tire.
