No. You never get the car back to new again... Eventually you get the car to stop breaking down for a while though... 
Hey, hang in there, it really does get better if you just keep with it and don't skimp on quality. I like your proactive approach to the P/S line though -my '89 GTU's went out about 1-2 years ago, and the '90 Yellow Indy's was on its' way almost exactly 12 months later (although it has stopped leaking now, so... 
).
