Car is in the shop right now. Just got to wait and see.

The only thing so far that was found is a minor leak on the valve body cover. Fluid level is low, but there is nothing that could make it that way. So there will be a fill and check.

I hope so too. Still thinking that there is some sort of "energy loss". Will find out today or Wednesday.

Was the trans torn down to the clutches?

That I know of it was a full overhaul done by Millennium Transmissons in Texas. At the time it was on Ebay, but they must have had problems and quit selling online.
My first trans was damaged by the freight company. The shift shaft was broken off. Another was sent and they had the same freight company pick up the damaged one.

Oh sorry, that would be a no as of now. Could be a yes if the shop thinks that the problem is related to that. It has been said(by the shop) that the basic things will be checked first. Side pan should be coming off next for valve body check.

Make them install a Transgo kit... Haha.

I don't have a problem with that. Hey what the hell, may just run it past them to see what they think.

Somebody is selling those kits for about $35 including shipping on Ebay.
It is not designed to, nor does it make the car shift harder.
It does smooth some things out. I like it in my mini van.
It also has an anti drain back valve to help keep the convertor from
emptying over night causing a delay in gear engagement in the morning.
I put one in my mini van because it says it cures reverse slipping.
I also installed a reverse boost valve but neither helped my situation.

I mean the side pan's already going to be off anyways, good preventative if anything. I bought a kit since I'll be changing my TCC solenoid and the valve body is right there.

Just a heads up. The kit comes with some shim rings for the accumulator which you need to pull the pan
and filter to get to. I didn't understand where I was supposed to measure the clearance so I left it alone.
It also has a spring for the Governor which I assume changes the shift points. I didn't install that either.
The instructions are vague so I called them and they said the kit is made for professionals.
I installed the stuff and did the mod for the valve body and didn't do anything to the accumulator or governor
and it works fine. There was some directions to adjust the TV cable so I tried it and wound up back
where it was before I adjusted it. I had to buy a T40 torxs bit for one bolt on my valve body.
They're about $5 at auto parts store but I got one at Home Depot for half that.

Sounds like I'm back to wait and see. Lots of waiting.....Thursday, Friday? This is a small shop, but damn.
