Maybe it was just easier to disconnect it and bring it down too. The system would be R-134 wouldn't it? That's cheap to recharge, but also, why take a sealed system apart and chance a leak upon re-assemble. I see your point.

Guess we'll find out if it was done correctly in the spring...

Im saying that its just like a brake caliper, you hang it out of the way instead of pulling it off and having to deal with the mess.

Speaking of messes, I got all kind of stuff dirty under the hood.  Can't wait to clean it up.  Gotta get my poly insert on too. ÂÂÂ
I'll be sure to get some before and after pics of my cleanup under the hood.  Maybe tonight if I'm feeling energetic.

It's done, here are some pics as of the other day.  I did extend the sensor wire as you can see below, but I did not figure out where that extra vacuum line goes.  The engine runs nice, but probably could run a little smoother, that vacuum line I'm sure isn't helping.  Overall I'm satisfied.  Just wanna clean up some of the wire routing, a few other things and then I'll be happy.  Enjoy. ÂÂÂ
For those of you who don't remember the topic from a while back.  Note the EGR.  Someone on
www.domesticcrew.com/660/ posted this.  I used the adapter plate from a 3.1 (as seen here and here) and stretched one of the bolt holes, then rounded off the extra hole.  The plate then bolts directly to the (2001+) upper intake manifold.
The tough part is someone has to weld the old egr tube and the new egr tube together, because it need to be longer and it basically has to make a U turn (or 90º turn) to go into the egr.  (Special thanks go out to the 660 forums.    For those of you who are members of the forums, just search for "$5 egr".)
(^The topic jbp.com doesn't want you to read, haha.^)

The EGR apapter thing, from a 3.1mpfi? What is that exactly and where do you get it? Is it part of the 3.1mpfi manifold? Help me out here..
Not sure on that vacuum line, looked like it went to the FPR, but that's hooked up... What does it connect to in the back?
If I swapped to large port manifolds, I'd have just about as much power as you (you have a little larger valves, and partial roller rockers). But I'm thinking of swapping to 3500 upper for a nice increase in low end power as well....
