As an update...engine is together and i'm to the point that i now need my car home from the storage unit it is in...and that will happen this weekend!!!

Im still envious of you Ron! I want to bring my car home to do work, but i have dirt everywhere and no protection from the elements right now
Thats okay, shes inside out of the weather and soon to be back out on the streets.
I still love the fact that your build and my build are in close proximity with each other as far as how far along we are

Alright guys...ALOT of progress today this is what i got done today...
And a warning for you weak stomachs...turn away
NOW!!!...
CARNAGE FOLLOWS...
The bottom of the pan when i pulled it...
...that big chunk in the pan was a piece of piston skirt:
...cap bearings were toast...
...can you say galling???
...this one was COMPLETELY gone...
...mains didn't look much better...
...but after busting my ass all day, i got it out. Now for some clean up and to put the new one in. Stay tuned!!!

It almost looks like the oil pump failed since so many bearings are destroyed...
